Dave Ackerman
I'm planning on doing 8 Tri's this year and 2, 1/2 IM races.
My Big race for the year is going to be The Vermont Journey 1/2 IM. My other 1/2 will be the Toyota Challenge 1/2 IM. Also planning on at least 3 big rides, RAIN 163 miles across Indiana in a day as well as the Cheat Mountain Challenge. A century ride with 13,000 ft of vertical climb!
Yrs Experience: This is my second year doing Tri's. My longest last year was a couple of Oly distance.
Preferred Distance: So far I prefer the Oly distance but that may change this year.
I live in Anderson on the East Side of town.
I joined to meet meet other slightly deranged souls with a desire to push themselves a little farther than they thought they could go.

I am new to triathlon---I bought a used bike and a tri guide book last summer and trained for the Toyota Deer Creek Sprint. I was hooked!
My goals are to do the Wheelie Fun Series and the Cincy One World--for me, every race is an "A" race...I am not the fastest or the strongest (or even close!), but I do my best.
My hopes: to get better! I'd like to close in on my age group leaders...a lot of work, I know.
I am thrilled to be a part of a group of triathletes--none of my friends are into it (and most are pretty sedentary) so I am really excited to meet a group of people that can give me tips and encouragement and that I can encourage too!
